Earth Day Alphabet Book Storywalk®

The EJCA invites you to participate in our neighborhood's spring StoryWalk® featuring the book, Earth Day Alphabet Book by Gary Kowalski.

Beginning April 8, you are invited to take a walk on the block of Alexander Street between Joffre and Central and read the pages of this picture book. Yard signs are posted at kid eye level in participating neighbors' yards. The walk starts mid block on the east side of Alexander and continues back up the west side. We plan to have the walk available through Earth Day (April 22) and our Neighborhood Wide Yard Sale (April 25) until the end of April.

Inspired by the StoryWalk® Project and its mission to promote early literacy, physical activity, and family time together in nature, the East Joffre Community Association's Arts Committee - with help from willing neighbors on Alexander Street - hopes this will be a family friendly activity that gets neighbors out together during the month of April.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier Vermont. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library

NOTE From the Arts Committee: Thank you to the neighbors who volunteered time and donated money and materials to make this project happen! If you have questions or feedback or suggestions for future arts projects, please reach out to Laura (@memflag) at laura.mcartor@gmail.com.
