Consider Making a Donation
In order to host a series of engaging events throughout the year, the neighborhood needs a treasury. There are 228 households in the neighborhood; if each family would consider an annual donation of $20, we will be able to fund a robust program of events throughout the year. In the past, the EJCA has used funding from a City grant to pay for street closure permits and event insurance for outdoor events, coffee and snacks for neighborhood meetups, website/hosting fees, printing costs for reminders and signs, and public safety equipment, but those grant funds have now been exhausted. Please consider making a donation towards our ongoing operations! We accept funds at any time via Venmo (https://venmo.com/eastjoffre or via the QR code on our website) or via cash or check at any neighborhood event.
We look forward to seeing and/or meeting you at our events! Please encourage your neighbors to join us, and watch the website for upcoming dates.
Thanks!

Volunteer Your Time!
Social Activities Committee: Help put on events in our community like the spring "Coffee in Joffre" or the fall "Neighborhood Night Out". Volunteer commitment would be centered around planning for and setup/takedown of the events, up to 2-4 events per year as available. Event supplies are funded by the EJCA budget through donations; this committee provides the people power to help the events run smoothly. (Though donations are always welcome - @eastjoffre on Venmo!)
The East Joffre Community Association is looking for volunteers!
Please fill in the form below if you’re interested in learning more about opportunities with any of the committees outlined in the EJCA Bylaws – no commitment at this time. A committee chair or Board member will reach out with more information.
Safety Committee: Principally involved with our Neighborhood Watch program. Committee members may be asked to attend the monthly Neighborhood Watch briefing for our area at MPD Tillman Station (1 hour meeting, Tuesday nights) on a rotating basis (2-4 times per year).
Outreach & Assistance Committee: Serves as a "Welcoming Committee" for new neighbors, looking out for moving trucks on your block and working with the committee to distribute welcome materials. The direction of this committee will be set by its members, but eventually the Board is looking to expand this committee to include a “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” program, which could include advice/guidance for home repairs and providing aging-in-place support.
Specific to 2026:
Board of Directors - Immediate Opportunity: The ostensibly 5-member Board of Directors is currently one member short and is looking for a volunteer to help us chart the direction of our Association and to help administer the work of the above committees. 2-year term, runs through December 2027. Reach out at eastjoffre@gmail.com if you're interested in learning more!
We also have ad-hoc committees for specific neighborhood issues and initiatives as the need arises. These opportunities will be communicated over the email list and/or at the Mid-Year Meeting or Annual Neighborhood Meeting.
Please use the form below to learn more about these exciting opportunities – no commitment at this time. A committee chair or Board member will reach out with more information.
Arts Committee: This committee determines its own program for the year based on member interests. Past projects include the Fall 2025 StoryWalk on Palisade, as well as staffing art stations for children (and the young-at-heart) at the Neighborhood Night Out and "Popsicles On Palisade" events.
